OrderMotion Announces New Board Member
OrderMotion, the award-winning provider of an on-demand direct retail platform for direct marketers, e/businesses and retailers, announced today that David Weiss has joined its board of directors. Weiss is CEO of Numara™ Software, a global provider of service desk management solutions for IT and support professionals who need to simplify and gain control over their increasingly complex environments.
Weiss brings to OrderMotion a long history of high profile IT industry and channels marketing expertise, having worked in leadership capacities at several global IT companies, including Numara Software, Citrix, and Blue Ocean.
David’s broad experience in scaling fast-growing companies, combined with his proven operational and marketing expertise, makes him a perfect fit for our board,” said Donny Askin, CEO, OrderMotion. “He immediately becomes an invaluable and respected member of our company’s corporate leadership.
Prior to his position at Numara™ Software, Weiss was the president of Blue Ocean Software, driving that company’s development of Track-It! into the leading IT help desk and asset management product for small and medium-sized businesses, helping IT professionals at more than 45,000 customer sites track over 14 million assets worldwide. Prior to Blue Ocean, Weiss was vice president of marketing at Citrix, where he helped lead the business from 60 employees and $15 million in revenue in 1995 to nearly 2000 employees and over $600 million in revenue in 2001.
A graduate of Duke University, David holds bachelors' degrees in computer science and economics. He is also a member of the CEO Council of Tampa Bay and the Tampa Bay Technology Forum.
